Watertown Savings Bank is proud to announce its plans to build a new 3,200 sq. ft. banking facility on James St. in Clayton.  The Bank’s current office on James St. will be torn down with the new building to be constructed on the same site.

There will be no interruption in service during this project.  Banking operations will move into a temporary facility which will be located in the Antique Boat Museum parking lot directly behind the existing bank.   The temporary banking office will face Riverside Drive with ample parking accessible from either Jane St. or Riverside Drive.

The Bank will continue to operate from the temporary location with its full staff, regular hours and ATM services.  However, drive-thru services will not be available at the temporary location.

Once complete, the new branch office will be equipped with a larger banking area, state of the art technology, increased drive-thru capacity, and a second floor community conference room with views of the St. Lawrence River.

Watertown Savings Bank President & CEO, Mark Lavarnway, said “Ever since we entered Clayton, we knew we were part of a great and growing community.  Remaining in our current structure would make our continued growth a prohibitive challenge.  This new office will further our presence in the Clayton market and will help us better serve our customer’s financial needs into the future.”

The project is slated to begin in early October with an anticipated completion date of May, 2017.
