WSB Supports Indian River Football Team Learn More

Kevin Chant, Watertown Savings Bank, presents a plaque along with a check to Jay Brown, Indian River Central High School Athletic Director, and Cory Marsell, Indian River Varsity Football Head Coach in recognition of the Warrior’s Section III Football Championship and in support of obtaining NYS Championship rings for the members of the football team.


Ed Beerman Scholarship Award Learn More

Watertown Savings Bank provided the funds for the Ed Beerman Jr. Community Service Scholarship Award at Thousand Islands Central School.  

The Scholarship was awarded to Cayla Mussot and Ashley Howard (not pictured) with each student receiving $500. 

Cayla Mussot is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Danny Mussot, Cape Vincent Cayla attends Broome College with a career focus on radiology.   Ashley Howard is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Howard, Clayton.  Ashley attends Elon University. 

Watertown Savings Bank sponsors this scholarship each year as Mr. Beerman always felt that a student’s contribution to their community through service was an essential quality for our youth.

WSB Supports Six Town Community Fund

Barbara Greene and Brendan Higgins from the Six Town Community Fund accept a donation from Rockett Stockwell, Branch Manager, WSB Adams Office. The fund benefits the towns of Adams, Henderson, Ellisburg, Lorraine, Worth and Rodman.  The Six Town Community Fund was established in 2013 and is the first of its kind in Jefferson County.

Jeremy Powell presents a donation in support of the Garrett W. Loomis Fund.The Northern New York Community Foundation established The Garrett Loomis Firefighters Fund to honor Sackets Harbor Fire Department Assistant Chief Garrett W. Loomis, who lost his life in 2010 from injuries sustained while fighting a silo fire in the town of Hounsfield.  The Fund provides grants to assist fire departments in obtaining training needed to address the unique requirements that agricultural related emergencies present.

WSB Supports Purple Heart Scholarship Fund

Gil Pearsall, HR Director for the Watertown Daily Times accepts a check from Christine Powers, Commercial Loan Officer, WSB in support of The Purple Heart Scholarship Fund.  The Watertown Rotary Club established The Purple Heart Scholarship Fund." The Purple Heart Scholarship Fund was established for service members who have been awarded the Purple Heart, and their immediate family members (spouse or child). Funds for this permanent endowment are raised each year by the Watertown Rotary club and managed by the Northern New York Community Foundation.
